I Am Thankful

I am thankful

I Am Thankful

Today, I am thinking of how rich I am and of all the wonderful things I have that I may take for granted throughout the year.

Here is a list of all the blessings that I am thankful for.

My beautiful close and extended family: my sons, daughter-in-law, brothers, nephews, nieces, sisters-in-law, mother-in-law, and beautiful handsome grandson Gui. Also the ones in Heaven, watching over me.

My old faithful friends from childhood and teenage years, there are quite a few; and the ones that I have been gathering throughout life in the many paths I have walked.

This fulfilling profession that I chose in the middle of my way, because it was a mature decision. A profession where I am constantly learning and that makes me a player in the world’s trends and decisions. I am thankful for having reached a position of trust among my peers.

I am also thankful for the few ones who oppose me because they also inspire me to become a better person.

For being resilient and for always seeking what is right and ethical in whatever I do.

For having great health.

For having a great meal today and for being grateful to God every time I pay for my groceries at the supermarket.

For this deep bond with Phoenix, who has been a 10-year companion, and for Gaia who brought us so much joy this year. Woof! Also thankful for my koi in the pond, the rabbits, squirrels, and birds that greet me in the morning and embellish my garden, this garden that I enjoy so much. For the flocks of geese and ducks that fly over my house, always announcing something.

I am thankful for the ones who, like me, also have a lot to thank today. I pray for the ones who do not, so their lives may improve for the next Thanksgiving  Day.

I am thankful to you, for reading it through, and for getting to know me a little bit more.

Happy Thanksgiving.
